Sometimes, dialects between two regions are very different. So, if someone meets anyone else with different dialect, he can makesmisundestanding.
A word in a dialect can change its class word when it was in the other dialect. Because of the division of the class word is different in every dialect. So, when we were in a region that we do not know their dialect, we must learn to know their dialect to make easy in the communication. The class word differences in two dialects also can make differences in the function. It also means that there are differences in the placement or structure. So, the comprehension of dialect is important. We will have a good interaction with the other one from another district if we understand their dialect.

THEORETICAL BASES
2.1. The Definition of Dialect
Dialect is a regional or social variety of a language distinguished by pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary, especially a variety of speech differing from the standard literary language or speech pattern of the culture in which it exists.
2.2. The Definition of Possessive Adjectives
Possessive adjectives are used to show ownership or possession. Possessive adjective consist of my(I), your(you), our(we), his(he), her(she), their(they) and its(it).
2.3. The Definition of Yes-No Question
Yes-No question also called Question with be. Itis started bybe, subject, verb and the complement/object/adverb.It is used to ask a question that need yes/no answer. We can answer yes/no question like that :
Example: do you like apple? Yes. I like apple (Yes. I do)
No. I do not/don’t like apple (No. I do not/don’t)
2.4. The Function of “ta” In Bugisnese Dialect
The word “ta” in Bugisnese dialect come from “kita” that means “you” in English language. “ki” function as subject like “kamu (you)” and “ta” has function as possessive adjective (your). “Kita”, “ki”, and “ta” use in formal situation (politeness). “Kita” usually use to make conversation with the old people or to show our respect for other people.

CHAPTER IV
DISCUSSION
4.1. The Relationship between Possessive Adjective and “ta” In Bugisnes Dialect
We discussed about possessive adjective in Chapter II. So, we will discuss the relationship between possessive adjective and “ta” in Bugisnese dialect. Possessive adjectives in English are my, your, our, her, his, its and their. In the Bugisnese dialect, “ta” has function as possessive adjective but only to possessive adjective “your”. Possessive adjective “your” is before word that be explained but possessive adjective “ta” is after word that be explained.
Example:
· Mau kadatangkekotatabesok. ( saya akan datang ke kotamu besok/I will come to your city tomorrow )
· Tidakmaukadatangkekotatabesok. ( saya tidak mau datang ke kota kamu besok/I won’t come to your city tomorrow )
· Nomorberaparumahta? (berapa nomor rumahmu?/What number is your house?)
The employing of “ta” cannot use in Yes-No Question. It only can use in affirmative sentence, negative sentence and WH-Question. If we will make a Yes-No Question, we can use “ki”. But, it is not as possessive adjective. It is as subject.
Example: Mau kimakan? Iye/Tidak
(kamu mau makan? Iya/Tidak/Do you want to eat? Yes/No)
4.2. The Relationship between Yes-No Question and “ta” In East Javanese Dialect
East Java has a unique dialect called “ta”. The function of “ta” is same with the function of yes-no question.
Example:
· Sampean loro ta? (apakahkamu sakit?/are you sick?)
· Are’e seneng moco novel ta? (apakah dia suka membaca novel?/does he/she like read a novel?)
· Sampean mboten nang sekolahtadino iki? (apakah kamu tidak pergi kesekolah hari ini?/don’t you go to school today?)
4.3. The Differences between The Function of “ta” In Bugisnese Dialect and East Javanese Dialect
The pronounciation of “ta” is same in Bugisnese and East Javanese, but it havedifferents function between Bugisnese dialect and East Javanese dialect. The differences are:
· “Ta” in Bugisnese dialect means “your” and “ta” in East Javanese is as yes-no question.
· “Ta” in Bugisnese use in formal situation and “ta” in East Javanese in informal situation.
· “Ta” in Bugisnese dialect functions as possessive adjective and “ta” in East Javanese function as yes-no question.
CHAPTER V
CONCLUSION
5.1. Conclusion
“Ta” in Bugisnesehas function to possessive adjective (your). It is used in affirmative sentence, negative sentence, and interrogative sentence.Usually, “ta” is used in formal situation. “ta” in East Javanese has function to yes-no question. It is used in informal situation.
The word “ta” in Bugisnese dialect and East Java dialect is very different. From meaning, class and place in the sentence. So, it can make misunderstand everyone from Bugis and East Java when they do not know each dialect and they make a conversation. Sometimes, it can make dispute.
5.2. Suggestion
This paper is not perfect, but I think it can help the English learner to understand about dialect and variation of dialect especiallybugisnese dialect and East Java dialect. Dialect is very important to be understood because it can make us easy to communicate with anyone from the other region.
